Meditation On Eph. 1

Jesus Christ is the fullness of God as our prophet, priest and king. He is the prophet who not only speaks the Word of God about ultimate reality, he is the Word made flesh that reveals God to us.  He is the priest as he is both priest and sacrifice who paid the penalty of our sin to appease the wrath of the Father so that we might bask in the forgiveness and love of God as beloved in Him.  He is the king who rules through the cross upon which he died defeating sin and death rising to shed life to all who share his anointing through the Spirit knowing the Father of glory and ascending to rule so that we are secure in his hands.
